For the third time the IOBC WPRS Working Groups “Integrated Control in Protected Crops, Temperate Climate” offers an award recognizing student research associated with this working group.

Each submission is judged by a panel of three judges with regard to the quality of the study being reported regarding 1) Study design and rigor, 2) Originality, 3) Significance and 4) Organization and clarity of the paper.


The winner of this third student competition is:

Lisa Conroy, University of Guelph, Canada, with her paper:

"Wilt-Pruf: a novel control agent for American serpentine leafminer"


Lisa Conroy will be recognized by the Working Group with the following awards:

  • A 15-minute presentation of the research at the 2008-meeting in the Netherlands
  • Certificate in recognition of the award.
  • A complete reimbursement (550 Euro) of registration fee for the meeting in the Netherlands
  • An award of 400 Euro to be used at the student’s own convenience.
